Live electronics for one performer

«Flowers» is a live setting for my sensor work «a flimsy moment».

My idea for „a flimsy moment“ was to produce sound (harmonious, lovely, assuring) which animated flowers in the broadest sense in order to promote their growth.
I have created «Flowers» using these sounds from «a flimsy moment».

I see my composition as a meditative, calm-work. Therefore I worked consciously without rigorous time-unit constraints for the performer in the compositional/operational sequence. It is rather important to me that the temporal agrees with the intuitive, internal-consciousness of the performer. The performer focusing their thoughts and imagination towards that of nature, flowers, and meadows...focusing their support and involvement in the pulse of the individual sounds.
For the performer the elements of the sequence which are given exactly are:

- which sounds are evenly and clearly stopped

- which sound combinations are to be played

The temporal operational sequence is freely descerned by the performers discretion. Thus, the sounds will interplay into subtly new sonic and textural landscapes with every performance.

for example:
In part 1;

With the introduction of each new temporal-operational sequence, further changes in tone quality and basic pulse occur.

In part 2;
The velocity with which the sounds turn in the 3-dimensional circle, is decided by the performer.

The volume of the individual sounds is co-ordinated with their prevailing atmosphere in the piece. This too may be adapted by the performer to the area and the tendency.

The listeners sit in the center of the area, surrounded by the loudspeakers. The loudspeakers are installed in order for the movement of the sounds in and through various areas to be optimally noticed. The middle loudspeaker is in the center, above the listeners.
