Gedanken zu meiner Arbeit

Für mich hat jeder Klang eine individuelle Schönheit, die durch ein Hören mit «Deep Listening», einem bewussten, fokussierten Hören, entdeckt werden kann.
Meine Grundmotivation sind Geräusche aus der Natur, wie Insekten, Fröschen, Ameisen oder Würmer, oder Geräusche von Fabriken, Baustellen und Alltags Geräusche. Sie sind das Fundament, mein Instrument, für meine musikalischen Arbeiten.
Für mich sind diese Geräusche und Sequenzen, wie die Töne eines Musikinstrumentes. Ich, kombiniere sie miteinander, bearbeite und manipuliere sie, bis sie zu einem/ meinem Werk, meiner Komposition geformt sind.
Mich interessiert das Erforschen des Zwischenbereiches von Mikro- und Makro, der natürlichen und der künstlichen Beschaffenheit eines Geräusches, sowie der natürliche Rhythmus darin; Ich transformiere ein Mikro Geräusch zu einem Makro Geräusch, ein unhörbares Geräusch zu einem hörbaren Geräusch, verändere die Frequenzen eines Geräusches so, dass aus einer stark ausgeprägten, ausschlagenden Frequenz ein feines, weiches Geräusch entsteht und umgekehrt.
Die Aufführungen meiner Kompositionen finden oft an ausgewählten, bestimmten Orten statt. Das kann in der Natur sein, oder in bestimmten Innenräumen, die durch entsprechend positionierte Lautsprecher definiert werden. Bei den Aufführungen in der Natur vermischen sich oft die natürlichen Geräusche der Umgebung mit meiner kompositorischen Arbeit.

I deeply believe that there is an individual beauty that can be discovered in the deep listening of sound.
My work is based on founded sounds, of insects, frogs, ants or worms, and also of factories or construction sites, and many others. They are my instruments.
For me, these sounds and sequences are like the tones of a music instrument. I put them together and create a score. I model and manipulate them until they have shaped into a work /composition.
My method is coined by the deep research of the in-between of micro- and macro sound, the natural and the artificial, as well as the natural rhythm and the musical.
I change micro to macro or hearable sounds. I change a hard sound so that is gets the character of a softer sound.
The performance of my compositions are often placed within a natural environment (within a natural setting) with the result that the natural sound environment blends into my composition and vice versa. By some of the scores it is like a listening experience to find out what you hear naturally and what is my composition.
